I went to Dr. Smit to remove a very inflamed ingrown toenail. It was a procedure that I dreaded because of my toes sensitivity. He scheduled my procedure the next day and let me bring a supportive friend. He understood my fears and took great care to be very gentle and professional. I found him to be extremely skilled as well as very sensitive to any concerns of mine. There was NO arrogance, rushing or dodging of any of my questions. He took his time, treated me with integrity and made my experience comfortable.. It was relatively painless. Dr. Smit gets an A+ from me...and I've worked as a nurse for 23 years in the ER. I highly recommend him. Thanks Doc!
I recently went in to visit Dr smit for a foot problem I was having. He gave me the simplest solution to the problem, although he could have taken me to the bank. I would just like to say that we need more people like this with integrityin the medical profession.
Based on my office visit and procedure performed I feel I can highly recommend Dr. Smit to others. The reasons for my positive experience were mainly based on my satisfaction with the procedure performed, the ability to decide for myself the course of action from the options presented, Dr. Smit’s friendly personality and general overall experience. If I ever need to see a podiatrist again I know I will return to his office for care.
