Went to church here as a kid through to my teen years. I also went to the school for two years. I've spent years recovering from my time at Heritage from stories that hurt too much to talk about in a public review.
Excellent very rich in talent
If you are looking for religion or wanting to know the amazing God you may have heard about, He is out there. I actually believe Christ is at Heritage too, but the version of Christ that they preach about, especially to new Christians or those from "outside the faith", will scare you away. (I was asked twice to leave when my clothes, as a ten year old girl, were considered too "provocative" for Sunday School. I didn't even know what that meant at the time.)
Thank you for showing me the true face of Christianity.

You all are a bunch of sick people & I wouldn't recommend this church/school to my worst enemy.
Why am I writing this short, vague review almost 10 years later? Because I want people to find a church where they can know God and worship him. Because years later, I'm still comparing my Christian walk against everything I learned not to do at Heritage. Because it took me YEARS after leaving Heritage to find out who God is, not because of anything I ever learned at Heritage, but because God is real and can work miracles. Even with someone like me, ready to give up on Christianity. God found me after Heritage, but I did not know him until I was out from under the influence of Heritage's teachings.
The music is excellently done, conservative in style and a rich complement to the preaching. Much traditional hymn singing that encourages the congregation to participate, not just watch a performance. Choir numbers and specials are scripturally based, and thus teach in their own right.
I have never been at this church but I can tell this, based on the knowledge I have acquired from the Word of God this is another kind of church I'd love to be a part of, I am so tire of this wicked generation that falls for what the world offers and rejects what's godly, why would someone who professes to love Christ but is against high and godly standards think that it's ok not to go with principles that are honorable to the God of the Bible but to follow the perverse practices of liberal unbelievers? My clear unswer I believe is found in several Scriptural passages, but I will give only one which is enough to settle the issue. Romans 8:7. Heritage Baptist family I encourage you all to keep moving forward and not give in to this wicked age, let's not mold our lives to the liberals of our days, I'm praying for pastor Milton to continue the Good fight and continue to preach faithfully the whole Counsel of God.
Maybe this church will work for some. I'm not saying that the people there are unChristian, but I am saying that the love of Christ is absent in this Fire and Brimstone church who did not care about me or my family when we went there.
Worst year of my life was spent at this place.
My family has worshiped at Heritage Baptist Church since 2000. Pastor Milton Jones is a highly educated and dedicated student of God's Word, and a wonderful, expositional preacher.
This church is about conformity and looking "the part" of a Christian. I did not learn the love of Christ at Heritage. I learned that if you respond to persecution from youth pastors that would rather make an example of you and teachers that bully you in front of the entire class with frustration, that you are sinning against God. And that if you're suffering from depression, it's because you're sinning.
This church strives for excellence, that God may be glorified and God's people refreshed and equipped to reach others for Him.
